Question 1
Scientific Revolution- A way of thinking about the world.


Nicolaus Copernicus- A man who concluded that the moon revolved only around the sun.


Heliocentric Theory- A theory that the sun remains in the center of the universe.


Johannes Kelper- A assistant to Tycho Barhe and a smart mathematician.


Galileo Galilei- A man whose discovery disappointed the church


Scientific method- Procedure for finding and testing ideas.


Francis Bacon- An English politician and writer.


Rene Descartes- A man who created the analytical geometry.


Isaac Newton- A English philosopher who studied gravity.

HW#4

1. Cannon Law was the law of the church that focused on marriage and religious practices. The Church also made courts to find people accusing the cannon law. The baddest punishment that a person would face if they disobeyed the cannon law was excommunication and interdict.

2. If a king doesn't follow the cannon law, the king would be denied salvation. It also might result in excommunication.. If the king still doesn't follow the law, the pope could use even a more frightening weapon. The pope could use the interdict.  With the interdict, many sacraments could not be performed which means the king could suffer in hell for all eternity.
